I’m always looking for bargains and this week I found an
awesome little gem – Tessa Dare’s first novella, How to Catch a Wild Viscount, previously
released in 2009 under the name “Legend of the Werestag”. First things first -- THIS IS NOT A
PARANORMAL Novella! With that said, here
is what I thought of this novella!
What I liked about How to Catch a Wild Viscount:
- The price. This novella I got from the Kindle Book Store and it was *FREE* download. Can you say, “SCORE!”
- Since this story is a novella, it was the perfect evening read for a busy mommy of two. I just downloaded it and less than two hours later I was done.
- The writing. Tessa is one of my favorite authors of Historical Romance Novels. Her stories are always entertaining, funny, the romance just right, the love scenes are HOT, and overall, always a good read for me!
- Luke and Cecily’s chemistry. The whole “I-love-you-but-I-must-let-you-go” story was well written. We find Luke and Cecily at a house party hosted by their mutual friend, and Cecily's presumed future husband, Denny. This is the first time Cecily sees Luke after a 4 year separation. The last time they saw each other, a kiss was shared and hopes for a future together blossomed in Cecily’s heart. The only thing that they didn’t count on was for the war to change Luke. Here they are, four years later, and their attraction is there, raw and vibrating pulling them closer even against Luke’s desire to let Cecily “go.” Throw those emotions, one night, a legend of a half man/ half beast, some funny dialogue, heart stopping “kiss-me-touch-me” scenes, and you a winner!
