I am still here.
I have continued to read romance novels, to be exactly, Regency Historical Romance Novels.
Why not blog about it?
Well… I was sick and then I got pregnant… again.
Life got a bit more interesting in our household.
After having our second baby, I struggled with postpartum depression and I just couldn’t find “me” in the midst of all. So I dove into the wonderful world of Romance Novels. Maybe not the best way to cope with depression, and yet, I did it.
I just started reading.
Whenever I was feeling blue, I read, and it was a great “temporary fix” to my “problem”. It didn’t “fix” my problem. Going to my doctor and telling him how I was feeling, getting the help that I needed, and letting my wonderful husband (and children!) love on me, was the key to my road to recovery. It took me 6 months to let go of my stubbornness and ask for help. And I’m glad I did because I was able to find the “new” me -- not the “old” me because the “old” me was childless and had TONS of free time to do whatever -- but the “new” me, the one with two beautiful babies (20 months apart -- TWO UNDER TWO!), a different body, and just a new perspective on life.
Thank you, Eloisa, Stephanie, Lisa, Julie, Jess, Loretta, Anna, and many more, for creating wonderful stories were I was able to join in my time of stress.
