How to Catch a Wild Viscount by Tessa Dare

I’m always looking for bargains and this week I found an awesome little gem – Tessa Dare’s first novella, How to Catch a Wild Viscount, previously released in 2009 under the name “Legend of the Werestag”.  First things first -- THIS IS NOT A PARANORMAL Novella!  With that said, here is what I thought of this novella!
How to Catch a Wild Viscount

What I liked about How to Catch a Wild Viscount:
  • The price. This novella I got from the Kindle Book Store and it was *FREE* download.  Can you say, “SCORE!”
  • Since this story is a novella, it was the perfect evening read for a busy mommy of two.  I just downloaded it and less than two hours later I was done.
  • The writing.  Tessa is one of my favorite authors of Historical Romance Novels.  Her stories are always entertaining, funny, the romance just right, the love scenes are HOT, and overall, always a good read for me!
  • Luke and Cecily’s chemistry.  The whole “I-love-you-but-I-must-let-you-go” story was well written.  We find Luke and Cecily at a house party hosted by their mutual friend, and Cecily's presumed future husband, Denny.  This is the first time Cecily sees Luke after a 4 year separation.  The last time they saw each other, a kiss was shared and hopes for a future together blossomed in Cecily’s heart.  The only thing that they didn’t count on was for the war to change Luke.  Here they are, four years later, and their attraction is there, raw and vibrating pulling them closer even against Luke’s desire to let Cecily “go.”  Throw those emotions, one night, a legend of a half man/ half beast, some funny dialogue, heart stopping “kiss-me-touch-me” scenes, and you a winner!

Three Weeks with Lady X by Eloisa James

This year has been a year full of discoveries – in my personal life and in the area of my naughty addiction (romance novels).  While I was away from cyber world, I was still reading - and I read A LOT!  One good find was a book by Eloisa James called Three Weeks with Lady X.  Oh my HOT Tamales!  What a joy was to stumble upon such a jewel.  The writing was superb and the characters were fun and hooked you to the story from the beginning.  So, here is my 411 on Three Weeks with Lady X by Eloisa James.

What I liked about Three Weeks with Lady X by Eloisa James:

  • The writing.  Ms. James has a way with words that is just a pleasure to read.  The story didn’t have awkward pauses nor “what just happened” gaps, it was a quick-fun flow through out.  Once I started reading I really didn’t want to stop.  The conversations where witty and I found myself, literally, laughing out loud.  Just wonderful!
  • The heroine, Lady Xenobia AKA India, has to be one of my favorite heroines.  She was funny, smart, compassionate AND strong.  She knew what she wanted and she would not take a “no” for an answer.
  • Thorn, the hero.  He is just raw and messed up, in need of someone to put him in his place, and he finds that person indeed!  Lady X gives him a run for his money – literally!
